Santa Cruz housing market

What is the latest in the Santa Cruz Housing Market?

What I have been seeing so far in 2020 is a strong uptick in buyer demand.  With these super low interest rates, people have more purchasing power and want to take advantage of that.  We have less than 200 homes active on the market in Santa Cruz county right now - some of the lowest I have ever seen.  This is not just happening in Santa Cruz or California.  This is actually the lowest number of homes for sale in the entire United States since 1993!  I network with Realtors from all over the country and I am hearing similar things about their markets.  Low inventory, strong buyer demand and homes selling quickly.  Multiple offers are back in 2020.  I had a listing recently that received 10 offers!  That was not happening in 2019.  Watch my video to hear more:

I feel like the lack of rain and the nice weather has made the Spring market come early this year.  People are out and about looking at homes but the Sellers weren't ready to list in January or February so there are not enough homes for all of the buyers.

If you are a buyer in this market my advice to you is - Be Pre-Approved with a really good lender that can move quickly so that you can write aggressive timelines in your offer - that will help your offer stand out.

If you are a Seller - Call me!  We should talk about what is going on in this market and if this is a good time for you to sell.  Conditions in 2020 are better for sellers so far in 2020 versus 2019.

Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions, I am here to be a resource for you.
